WWF is working to address the current and projected effects of climate change.
To slow climate change, WWF advocates policies that reduce emissions of heat-trapping gases, and increase energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources like wind, solar and biomass.
WWF-EARPO is working to improve its knowledge base on climate change issues, initiate pilot programmes to develop adaptation and resilience models, implement pilot projects assessing the impacts of climate change on freshwater resources and needed coping strategies, and improving partnerships and linking up with stakeholders for dialogue.
