From 2006 until 2015, Jack led the Bata Group, a global manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer of footwear and accessories as Group CEO, and previously as Group CFO. Bata has substantial supply chain and sales operations throughout Asia, Africa and Latin America. Bata is the N° 1 global manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer of footwear and accessories, employing 30,000 people, operating in 90 countries with 25 factories and 5,500 retail outlets. Before joining Bata, Jack founded an international consulting business operating in Europe and the US. Previously as COO and CFO at Firstream (a private-equity backed multichannel company) Jack was a key member of the team which built a substantial profitable multi-channel retailing business operating across Germany, Italy, France, Spain and UK and ultimately negotiated its successful sale.
Earlier Jack was a partner at Deloitte in France and the US where he led Deloitte’s European Technology Group providing assurance and consulting services to technology-driven companies across Europe. He has a deep knowledge of internal controls, assurance and governance, notably in complex international environments.
