About the GFTN

What is the Global Forest and Trade Network?
The Global Forest and Trade Network (GFTN) is a WWF initiative aimed at creating links among companies committed to applying best practices in forest management, and transformation industries and forest products consuming companies, who have decided to adopt a Responsible Purchase Policy of forest products at the main global markets.

More than 350 companies worldwide are members of the GFTN, among these forest owners, wood transformation industries, importers, traders, construction companies, suppliers and investors. Subsequently, these companies are organized into their own national and regional Forest and Trade Networks (FTNs) that in 30 producer and consumer countries in Europe, America, Africa, Oceania and Asia.
