Denise Koopmans is a seasoned non-executive director, supporting companies with their new-growth transformation, innovation and scaling businesses across new markets and geographies.
She is currently non-executive director at Swiss Post (CH, member Investment and M&A committee), Cicor Group (CH, chair Audit committee), Royal BAM Group (NL, chair Remuneration committee), Norma Group (DE, vice-chair, member Audit committee) and independent member Board of Governers of Grant Thornton International (member Governance committee).
Denise has extensive international and operational experience in leading as CEO, the organic and transformative development of global B2B companies. She was managing director of the Legal & Regulatory Division of Dutch publisher Wolters Kluwer and Director of Wolters Kluwer's Global Workflow Solutions Business, leading the digital transformation of the division and restoring growth. Prior to joining Wolters Kluwer, she was CEO of LexisNexis Intelligence Solutions (RELX Group), a global business intelligence and analytics company headquartered in Paris. During her tenure she scaled the business by developing new business models, and turned the company into a global market leader for business intelligence solutions.
Previously Denise held various senior executive roles, including global M&A responsibility, at Capgemini Engineering in Paris. Prior to that she was head of business development of global offshore services provider Heerema Group and Chief legal officer at NBM-Amstelland, a large listed Dutch contruction group. She started her career as lawyer in an international lawfirm, specialising in transport law.
Denise is of Dutch origin, based in Zurich, a certified international board director, and an alumni of the University of Rotterdam, Harvard Business School and INSEAD.
