International Partnership to Support Ecotourism Development in Armenia

On February 21, 2014, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Armenian Branch, the National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia (NCFA) and the Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The MoU opens the door to strategic collaboration between three organizations to develop and implement eco-tourism activities in and around specially protected nature areas of Armenia.

The MoU was signed by WWF Armenia Director Karen Manvelyan, NCFA CEO Arman Khachaturyan and CNF Executive Director David Morrison.

As a result of the MoU, the three organizations will work together to develop and implement projects to promote ecotourism development and draw investment to the protected areas and adjacent communities.

The deputy ministers of Nature Protection and Economy of the Republic of Armenia also participated in the signing ceremony.
