WWF has an opening through its Youth Volunteer Internship Programme for a volunteer/intern for a 6-month assignment with the WWF-Myanmar.

Location: WWF-Myanmar(based in Yangon)
Assignment dates: 1 May to 31 October 2017
Language required: fluent English
Age Category: 19-27 years

Role
The Communications Intern will
  • Lead the creation of the WWF-Myanmar – our work in action story series by
  • Developing the ToRs and storyboards per story
  • Liaising with field team to plan trip
  • Working with a photographer and videographer to collect footage and interviews
  • Guide the video editing process
  • Creating web features and photos essays
  • Overseeing storage of assets and sharing with network (80%) support the programme development team by
  • researching and developing project concepts (20%)
Requirements
  • Pursuing a degree in journalism, mass communication, public relations, marketing or related field with a strong interest in conservation
  • Excellent research, organizational and oral communications skills
  • Excellent writing and photography skills 
  • Able to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Able to travel to the field
 
Preferred
  • Experience working as a journalist
  • Experience in proposal writing
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and/or Illustrator
