On February 23, 2018 WWF-Armenia donated a high-quality firefighting vehicle and firefighting equipment to the MoNP's "Preserve and park complex" SNCO's "Jrvezh" forest park within the frames of "The Transboumdary Joint Secretariat 3rd Phase" project.

First deputy minister of Nature Protection Mr. Erik Grigoryan, deputy minister of Nature Protection Mr. Khachik Hakobyan, director of WWF-Armenia Mr. Karen Manvelyan and "Jrvezh" forest park's director Levon Gabrielyan were present at the event.

A fire-fighting vehicle with fire pumps can reach even the most difficult areas and can also be used for rescue purposes. The car can also be used for irrigation purposes, especially in the areas where there is no any irrigation system.

Staff of the forest park were provided with uniforms as well as other necessary equipment. This will help them in the forest park protection activities.

After this summer's big fires this is already the second time when WWF-Armenia supports the protected areas with fire fighting equipment. Last October, WWF-Armenia completely repaired the fire-fighting vehicle of Khosrov Forest State Reserve, as well as provided with other necessary fire-fighting equipment.
