New and innovative technologies with huge potential for reducing carbon emissions have been announced as winners of WWF-China's Climate Solver awards.The awards recognise transformative technologies with the potential to grow economically while advancing progress towards a low-carbon world. The winning technologies could result in a reduction of 0.118 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalents a year if they achieve their expected market share. The awards were granted after expert evaluation of emissions reductions, innovation, reliability, market potential and business strategy, and reflect the increased nurturing of innovative climate technology start-up businesses in China.
