WWF welcomes the announcement that Peru will host the December 2014 high level session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). WWF believes that as a developing country, and with significant forest areas, Peru is well placed to bridge the divide between developed and developing countries on how to combat climate change, including how to limit the carbon emissions from deforestation and forest degradation.
