This edition highlights our China-Africa work around the 5th Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) held in Beijing on 19-20 July. In the past one year and during the FOCAC week, we engaged with Chinese and African officials as well as the African Ambassadors to include environmental sustainability in the FOCAC conclusions. Some of those principles are already acknowledged, as the FOCAC Action Plan states “high attention” should be paid to “protecting local eco-environment”, and incorporates social responsibility for Chinese companies investing in Africa.

It also presents WWF's Fighting Illegal Wildlife Trade Campaign and the situation in Central Africa, and our continuous effort on Green Credit Guidelines as well as footprint work in China.
