WWF-Myanmar trained law enforcement officials to tackle illegal wildlife trade in Golden Triangle region

WWF-Myanmar has organised a series of training for Myanmar law enforcement officials who mainly are responsible for tackling illegal wildlife trade in Golden Triangle region.
Kyaing Tong, 23rd August - WWF-Myanmar has organised a series of training for Myanmar law enforcement officials who mainly are responsible for tackling illegal wildlife trade in Golden Triangle region.
 
The series of training was strategically organised in Kyaing Tong and Tachileik townships of Eastern Shan State which located on one of the main trade routes of illegal wildlife trade in Greater Mekong region.

The training in Kyaing Tong was organised on 21st and 22nd of August and in Tachileik were organised on 24th and 25th of August.

WWF-Myanmar is organising series of training in cooperation with Myanmar government for building capacity among government agencies and law enforcement officials to tackle the trafficking and illegal trade of wildlife.

After these training, WWF-Myanmar is planning to organise follow up training in the same cities in coming December.
