42 people from 21 civil society organizations supported by WWF in the Melaky and Menabe regions took part in 3 days of reflection at Antsirabe in December 2016.

As key actors in conservation implementation with WWF in the Manambolo Tsiribihina Landscape, they came together to jointly define a common plan of action to improve the sustainable partnership for the conservation of forests and ecosystems in the Melaky and the Menabe Regions over the next five years. According to their respective programs, concrete actions are already underway to continue their ongoing activities in 2017-2020.

For example, the FITAME NGO continues to support beekeepers in Manambolo Tsiribihina, the Alokaina Public Intercommunal Cooperation Agency continues the mangrove conservation action in seven communes of the districts of Belo Tsiribihina and Morondava, while FAFED implements literacy training in 9 villages located in the management transfer areas of the Tsiribihina Delta.

These civil society organizations intervene in different sectors (tourism, journalism and media, youth development, conservation and management of natural resources, women's development, social actions in rural areas among others). Their activities in the field, begun in 2016, are supported by WWF Madagascar and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
