WWF France is seeking an experienced Oceans Program Co-Head to join its Programs Department. 
 
 
Location:  WWF Office in Paris, France


 
The role:
 
Under the supervision of the Director of Programs, you ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Oceans Program to promote the strategy of the WWF for the protection of marine biodiversity and the reduction of marine human footprint. Your geographical scope includes all the oceans, with the exception of the Mediterranean that is the subject of a specific program. So you share the responsibilities to lead WWF France’s Oceans Programs with Co-Head in charge of the Mediterranean. You work closely with the teams the Communication, Public Generosity and Corporate Partnerships’ departments to ensure that our fellow citizens, our donors, and businesses adhere to that vision.
 
 
Main responsibilities:
 
Implement WWF France Ocean strategy through the implementation of existing conservation programs (“Overseas”; “Sustainable fisheries”), and the development of new initiatives involving national or international partners. 
Coordinate Ocean Program’s field teams and liaise with Oceans Program managers in French Guiana and New Caledonia. 
Provide the necessary support to the "Sustainable Fisheries" program. 
Participate in the dialogue with companies, in collaboration with the Corporate Partnerships department, to promote good practices among stakeholders involved in the marine environment (fisheries, marine transport, tourism, mining, etc.). 
Coordinate advocacy on marine topics in collaboration with WWF France and WWF Europe policy teams. 
Participate in the design and implementation of communication campaigns around marine issues in collaboration with the Communication team of WWF France. 
Contribute to fundraising activities to secure funds for Oceans Program projects. 
Represent WWF France Oceans Program, and liaise with WWF International Ocean Practice and relevant French and European institutions and partners. 
 
Required Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:
 
You hold a Master degree in fisheries, marine biology, marine environment or marine ecology.
 
You have at least 5 years of experience in a job that allowed you to acquire excellent knowledge of marine issues and project development, management and monitoring (including administrative and budget matters).
 
Through your experiences, you have developed an ability to empower and lead teams.
 
You excel at working effectively with multiple teams (in charge of fundraising, corporate partnerships, communication, advocacy etc.).
 
You have a good knowledge of marine issues in French Guiana and New Caledonia.
 
You are fluent in French and English.

The position is based in the WWF France Office in Paris located: Paris 16th Arrondissement and Pré Saint Gervais, east of Paris (93) from summer 2017. The position requires frequent travels.
