This assessment of polar bears is one in a series resulting from a WWF study that assesses the vulnerability of numerous species to the effects of climate change. These trait based assessments assess climate vulnerability based on the sensitivity, adaptive capacity, and exposure of the species, as well as other threats that the species faces. For each species, we also recommend climate-adaptive management strategies.
