WWF in Serbia wins prestigious public relations award

The award is given for the 2014 Earth Hour campaign

WWF in Serbia and its partner, Agency Chapter 4, received the prestigious 2015 “PRiZNANJE” prize in the category “Best International Campaign” for Earth Hour 2014. The name of the award comes from the idea of viewing public relations (PR) and knowledge (“znanje” in Serbian) as an inseparable unity.
 
The prize is awarded by The Society of Serbia for Public Relations. It was officially given to WWF and Agtency Chapter 4 last week at the largest gathering of public relations professionals in Serbia at the Metropol hotel in Belgrade. “PRiZNANJE” is honours individuals, organizations, companies, institutions and agencies that conduct the best and most professional communication activities in the previous year.
 
WWF’s Earth Hour started in Sydney in 2007 as a citizen action to protest against climate change and a call for urgent action. Serbia joined the movement in 2009. Today, Earth Hour has grown at a huge pace to become the world’s largest grassroots environmental initiative. It is active in over 150 countries, and has gone ‘beyond the hour’ to become a platform where people are mobilising action on climate and other global, regional and local environmental priorities.
