Finance Officer, Yangon WWF-Myanmar
 
As a part of World Wide Fund for Nature – Greater Mekong, WWF-Myanmar was established in 2014 with the aim to support Myanmar’s development ambitions with a focus on spatial planning and biodiversity conservation in parallel with ecosystem service protection and sustainable livelihoods, to achieve a green economy.  To support WWF-Myanmar’s objective during the process of establishing on office and is looking for an experienced Finance officer based in Yangon, Myanmar.
 

1. Major Function

The Finance Officer provides support to Finance and Admin Manager in all financial activities at WWF Myanmar  to ensure transparency, accuracy and trustworthiness and compliance with WWF Greater Mekong financial system, policies and procedures and local legal requirements.

II. Requirements

1. Education and Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting, Business Management, Business Administration, or in relevant fields

2. Knowledge

• Thorough understanding of local finance and accounting systems and laws and regulations
• Basic knowledge of international finance and accounting standards
• Good understanding of finance and accounting practices in NGOs in Myanmar
• Good knowledge of fund accounting including reporting requirements of major Bi-lateral Aid Agencies is preferred
• Basic knowledge of environmental and conservation issues in Myanmar  is an advantage

3. Experience

• 3 years of working experience in finance and accounting administration, particularly in budgeting, with international NGOs is desirable
• Experience in implementing and monitoring the compliance of finance and accounting system, policies and procedures
• Experience of working in multi-cultural environment is an advantage
