From the U.S. Embassy in Malaysia: Exporting forest products to the United States can be confusing with increased international legislation that bans trade in illegal timber.  The amended Lacey Act in the U.S. calls for more product declarations beginning this September, which will have U.S. importers asking more questions of their Malaysian forest products suppliers.
