WWF, through its coordination of volunteerism and public politics, was present in the closing of this project, carried out by the children from the School Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro.

On October 3rd, the children of the 1st Grade "A", from the School 'Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro', exposed in the Auditorium Room the works carried out in the framework of the project " S.O.S Let's save our planet"

The objective of this project was to encourage to all the students the interest in using what the nature puts within reach of the human being, keeping the equilibrium of the environment. For that reason, the project was focused in transmitting to the children the need to take care of our environment, to protect it and to make aware on the care of the land, since our smallness.

The project gave the children the necessary tools for the care and protection of the more nearby environment.

The group of students was composed by 160 children from 5 to 7 years old, who showed great interest toward the activities carried out.

"The children from the first grade, we realized about the great things that God created, the wonderful universe where we live and the Earth", commented a student while presenting their works.

A teacher commented: "With this project we identify the Earth in the Universe as our home, we make the people aware of the importance of taking care of our planet, we collaborate in the care recycling the trash, we maintain the cleaning of our environment, we use rationally the natural resources, we show respect toward the nature that was created by God".

Also, a group of parents were really happy with this activity and commented to the WWF about the need to count with the contribution of professionals as WWF to orient and to adapt the different initiatives for the care of our environment.
