Trainings about beekeeping were held for local communities

On 8-9 April, in the framework of Promotion of Eco-Corridors in Southern Caucasus programme in Shaki, Gakh, Zagatala regions were held training about beekeeping for representatives of local communities.
On 8-9 April, in the framework of Promotion of Eco-Corridors in Southern Caucasus programme in Shaki, Gakh, Zagatala regions were held training about beekeeping for representatives of local communities.

The main purpose of training which was held in the framework of FPA (Financial Participatory Approach) was to develop beekeeping for maintaining ecological balance and sustainable social development. During the training representatives of rural communities got the information concerning apiculture, bee diseases and their treatment, bee products and ways of its increase.

More than 120 representatives of rural communities took part in trainings. The Chairman of the Association of Azerbaijan Beekeepers Baddradin Hasratov took part as an instructor.

This programme is implemented in the Greater Caucasus Ecoregional Corridor by World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) with the funds provided by the German Federal
