All creatures great and small – mammals include some of the most beautiful and charismatic species on Earth. They are some of the most ferocious and ruthless predators and the most gentle and timid herbivores. Habitat loss, hunting and competition with humans means many of them are seriously endangered and may one day only exist in fables and myths.
