In a changing climate, we need financial mechanisms and policies for sustainable resource management and governance. WWF in the Coral Triangle is active on both fronts to enable the sustainable development of Coral Triangle countries, to galvanize efforts to make sustainable fisheries and tourism a reality.

In the face of climate change and threatened marine ecosystems, meeting the challenge of safeguarding food security, livelihoods, biodiversity, and sustainable fisheries remains paramount.
Approaches for moving forward cover such priority areas as tuna, the live reef fish food trade, marine protected areas and marine managed areas, the implementation of the Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management (EAFM), and investments and funding mechanisms in the Coral Triangle.
WWF has also initiated sector-specific platforms, such as the Coral Triangle Fishers Forum, and the Regional Business Forum.
Through its Policy and Advocacy approaches, WWF aims to build on relationships with Coral Triangle nations, as well as the public and private sectors, to galvanize efforts towards more sustainable fisheries and tourism in the Coral Triangle.
