Big year ahead for arctic research
In just over one year, the official observation period for the International Polar Year (IPY) 2007–2008 will start. IPY 2007 – 2008 will be an intensive campaign of internationally coordinated, multidisciplinary scientific research and observation that will target the Earth’s polar regions.

Southern toxins in northern species
Subtle changes are occurring in the health of arctic species, according to a project conducted by WWF-Canada, with researchers from Trent University.
