Sir Dave Lewis is presently the Chair of the WWF-UK taking up the position in June 2020.

Career Snapshot

Before joining WWF, Dave was Group Chief Executive of Tesco PLC from September 2014.  Over the next 6 years he led a successful turnaround of the UK’s leading food retailer, including the merger with Booker to create a unique leading Food Business in the UK.  He stepped down as Tesco CEO in September 2020.    

Before Tesco, Dave worked for Unilever for 27 years, the last 7 of which were on the executive board.  

Dave was a member of the Governance Committee of the Consumer Goods Forum and was founding chair of Champions 12.3, a UN programme seeking to add momentum to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Target 12.3 by 2030.  He was also co-chair of the Prime Minister’s Consumer, Retail and Life Sciences Business Council and a non-executive director of Sky PLC.

Dave is married with two children.
