A new report by Dalberg Global Development Advisors finds that the risk posed by port expansions in the Great Barrier Reef is not worth taking for financial and environmental reasons.
A new report by Dalberg Global Development Advisors finds that the risk posed by port expansions in the Great Barrier Reef is not worth taking for financial and environmental reasons.


The future of the Great Barrier Reef was a high profile issue during January 2015 state elections in Queensland, which borders the reef. 

Election results are not finalized yet, but it is clear that the community want to see stronger protection of the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Site. 

The outcome of the election may change the situation in regard to planned megaport projects, which pose imminent threats to the reef.  

Take action now to stop industrial destruction of the Great Barrier Reef
