WWF honours young Peruvian marine conservationist

Kerstin Forsberg, a 28-year-old marine conservation biologist and campaigner has been awarded the WWF International President’s Award 2013 at the WWF Annual Conference in Wyoming, US.
Kerstin Forsberg, a 28-year-old marine conservation biologist and campaigner has been awarded the WWF International President’s Award 2013 at the WWF Annual Conference in Wyoming, US. The award aims to acknowledge and encourage inspiring achievements of people under 30 who are working to conserve nature around the world. Kerstin leads community-based marine research, environmental education and participatory sustainable development initiatives in Peru. Before becoming Founder-Director of the non-profit organisation Planeta Océano in 2007, she was a prolific volunteer with many ocean conservation and green educational groups.
