May 2019 edition highlights some interesting stories...
Choosing food is not a simple thing as it will affect our health. This month, WWF-Indonesia with some partners launched Pangan Bijak Nusantara
(or wise foodways) campaign with theme, Our Biodiversity, Our Food, Our Health. This campaign is funded by the European Union with the purpose of encouraging a significant shift in food consumption and food production through increasing consumers and producers’ knowledge and awareness about the environmental and social impact of their food choices.
Again, WWF Malaysia Sarawak team taught local community on photography. This time they did it in in Kapit, Sarawak. There are thousands of scenic and amazing pictures, and you can see some of the pictures which are compiled in a book called Panda Click! By doing this, the local communities appreciate more their environment and their culture.
Last but not least, read some interesting stories about Visit the Heart of Borneo
campaign. We coordinated and collaborated with other stakeholders promoting fascinating and exotic ecotourism in HoB especially in Krayan Highlands, North Kalimantan as well as in Mahakam Ulu and West Kutai, East Kalimantan. Kalimantan does not only offer its pristine nature but also culture, local wisdom, history and most importantly kind-heartedness!
