An educational material for teachers and students
This education material is for high school and college students specialising in forestry, ecology, environment protection and engineering who want to know more about the role of forests and their sustainable management. It can be considered complementary to school curriculums. Its main aim is to develop a forestry consciousness and awareness as to how to approach forests in terms of sustainable management. Its main objective is to educate young people to become forest ambassadors regardless of the professional realization they will choose after graduating.

The educational methods suggested aim to create a framework in which young people can directly experience certain phenomena, develop their analytical and verbal skills and become autonomous in identifying forest solutions.

The material was developed as part of the Forest Law Enforcement and Governance (FLEG) Regional Programme (Phase II), through the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI) for Eastern Countries, with the financial support of the European Union.
