Graphic of nesting occurrence in different Caribbean nations.
Table of different threats in each one of the Caribbean countries according to survey information.
Threat levels for each one of the Caribbean countries according to a survey.
Criteria for assigning threat levels
High threat: Direct impact (1 or more) in priority 1-2 and/or indirect impacts (2 or more) in priorities 1-3.
Medium threat: Direct impact (1 or more) in priorities 3-4 and/or an indirect impact in priorities 1- 3 and/or indirect impacts in priority 4 (2 or more).
Low threat: Direct impact (1 or more) in priority 5 and/or an indirect impact in priority 4 and/or indirect impacts (1 or more) in priority 5.
No threat: No impacts reported.
Threat unknown: No information or information not available.
Graphic showing the magnitude* of different threats for the entire Caribbean according to survey information
*: Magnitude was calculated assigning a value of 5 points to the first threat selected, and then assigning values of 5 to 1 points in descending order. Taking into account that a total of 13 countries and territories responded, the maximum point value a threat can have is 65 (13 x 5) and the lowest is 0 (no points). The sum of the points for each threat is multiplied by 100 and divided by 65; the value was reduced to decimals for the previous graphic. For example, illegal trade had a total of 17 points, 17 x 100 / 65 = 26.15 (0.26).
