A strategic, multi-step approach to build capacity, connection, and mutual trust among community-based forest monitoring initiatives.
WWF's Inspiring Practices are designed to share forest and climate lessons learned, so that they may be replicated or adapted as appropriate by others for their own forest and climate related work.This Inspiring Practice describes how WWF and its partners worked under the leadership of IDEAM with participatory community-based forest monitoring initiatives throughout Colombia to build greater connection, communication, technical capacity, and trust–both among these initiatives and between them and the agencies tasked with forest monitoring at the national level.
