On November 25, 2020, Russia submitted its updated NDC to the UNFCCC.

Russia’s NDC has not increased mitigation ambition. According to CAT (2020), the target is even higher than Russia’s projected emissions.

As the 2020 NDC fails to comply with the Paris Agreement requirement of enhancing ambition and does not present most of the information on the NDCs We Want checklist, we consider that the update is an NDC We Don't Want.
