WWF launched a new strategy that harnesses the strengths of the WWF network in a shared vision, focussing on six major goals - water, wildlife, the ocean, climate and energy, forests, and food – and three key drivers of environmental problems – markets, finance and governance.
 
In support of this strategy WWF undertook a redesign of its international secretariat that will further unite WWF offices and its near 7'700 staff around the world. This will help WWF to build stronger partnerships across the world with government, business, civil society and individuals. Together, we will deliver on WWF’s ambitious goals.
 
We are recruiting the role of Senior Specialist, People & Culture Recruitment for our International Secretariat to help us achieve our new ambitious goals, and build a future where people live in harmony with nature.

WWF International in Gland (Switzerland).

Contract type:

Fixed-term contract of  6 months. (Jan-June 2020).

Mission of the Department:
 To advise and support leaders in creating a culture of collaboration, innovation and results focus in WWF;
 To embed the desired behaviours in all key HR processes across the organization;
 To develop the right HR standards, policies, procedures and platforms in-order to attract, develop and retain the right people for the organization;
 To create the optimal working environment in which the staff are able to perform at the highest level and hence are able to maximize their contribution towards the conservation goals;
 To drive the WWF network towards common approach to people development, global mobility, leadership development, rewards philosophy and gender diversity;
 To provide efficient and effective HR services to WWF International

Major Functions: 
To support with all aspects relating to Recruitment ensuring consistency in providing timely and professional services to our internal clients and key stakeholders across the  Network. Operate and perform with considerable independence diversified tasks and duties using initiative, judgement and knowledge of organization’s policies and Network standards. 

Main responsibilities:
 Manage the recruitment and offer process from A to Z for recruitments
 Create and update job advertisements, oversee the internal job platform and other external job posting platforms;
 Liaise on recruitment logistics with the P&C Recruitment support team (interview panel/questions, schedule, nvitations and recruitment pack to candidates); 
 Screen candidates for organization and behavioural/cultural fit;
 In consultation with Head, Recruitment, ensure hiring approvals, grading and job descriptions are kept updated;
 Liaise with P&C recruitment support team to ensure candidates are fully informed of decisions and that candidate responses/ travel/ expenses/ relocation/references/conflict of interest are administered;
 Facilitate and lead interviews and debrief sessions for recruitments
 Ensures candidates are carefully vetted before hiring ie references, conflict of interest etc
 Concludes on salary negotiations and employment offers and co-ordinates with HR shared services team on employment contracts, relocation and on-boarding processes.
 Provides advice to hiring managers on entire recruitment process and ensures diversity KPIs are met.
 Participate as a panel member (as required) and advise line managers on good interviewing techniques and best practices
 Assist with other ad hoc tasks, as required
 
Required Qualifications, Skills and Competencies: 
 Commercial diploma or University degree;
 At least 5 years’ experience as a recruiter, ideally from an INGO environment, managing diverse international projects in a complex global environment with multiple stakeholders

 Excellent communication style with ability to confidently manage high level negotiations

 Diplomacy and ability to deal with a variety of situations and confidential issues;
 Resilient- able to manage multiple stressful and high pressure demands;
 Ability to quickly build effective stakeholder relationships;
 Good communication skills, both orally and in writing;
 Fluent English, other languages advantageous;
 Interest in conservation and WWF's work;
 Clearly demonstrates behaviours aligned to the culture of WWF: Strive for Impact, Listen Deeply, Collaborate Openly and Innovate Fearlessly.

Working Relationships:
Internal:
Works closely with People & Culture team, WWF International and Network HR teams as well as staff at all levels.  Responds to queries coming from other WWF International staff. 
External:
Interacts with partners and visitors, as required, in fulfilment of duties.
