WWF has an opening through its Youth Volunteer Internship Programme for a volunteer/intern for a 6-month assignment with WWF Bolivia.

Location: WWF Bolivia
Assignment dates: 1 July to 15 December 2018
Language required: good level of English and Spanish
Age Category: 19-27 years
Mission of the Department/Office:
WWF Bolivia seeks to strengthen its conservation impacts by enhancing communications, outreach and effectively engaging target audiences and developing creative, high impact communication products and messages. 
Major Functions:
The purpose of this position is to assist the Communications Coordinator in WWF Bolivia in the implementation of the Communications and Engagement Strategy 2018-2022 focusing in developing and strengthen social media engagement, assist and support local campaigns, and help develop communication materials for fundraising and key stakeholder engagement.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • With support from Communications Coordinator develop a product-based work plan for the time of the internship.
  • Support market analysis and research on relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop digital communications products and contents on priority issues and initiatives pertaining to our country program as to maximize strategic digital engagement
  • Support preparation of communication materials: brochures, factsheets, multimedia kits, website, visual information, and other materials.
  • Draft project related news releases, articles, and other relevant information.
  • Support updating homepage and other social media accounts.
  • Laisses with communication and digital teams in other WWF offices and Latin American Region, in order to maximize regional impact of digital campaigns
  • Provide training on short story writing as testimony of conservation work related to people. 
Required Qualifications       
  • Pursuing degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or other related areas
  • Preferably previous experience in writing, social media, media partnership, social mobilisation and campaigns
  • Previous work related to communications and engagement of private sector desirable.
  • Previous travels or professional experience in South America is a plus
  • Previous experience with social/humanitarian/environmental organizations is a plus

  • Excellent writing and communication skills (English and Spanish)
  • Good abilities to clearly summarize large amounts of information
  • Team worker, sociable and open-minded
  • Good organizational skills
