"Let all those who want to learn come to me and I will train them. It is a knowledge that was given to me and I would share it with all, for the conservation of our forest. "
Lahiniriko Rishad is a member of the community organization that manages the forests around his village of Ranomay. He lives about 150 km northeast of Toliara. He attended an improved stove “fatana mitsitsy” production supported by WWF.

Since this year, he is the Mister "fatana mitsitsy" of his village. His "fatana mitsitsy" improved stoves follows Madagascar's standards office requirements. It cooks a pot of rice with only two small logs, when traditional stoves consume twice as much.

Lahiniriko Rishad produces 100 "fatana mitsitsy" per month at Ariary 6000 of each (1.50 euros). Having already trained three relatives to support him, he is well aware that yes, his business is working well, but it is also a commitment for his community.
