On July 11, within the frames of Transboundary Joint Secretariat (TJS, Phase III) project, financed by German Government (BMZ) through KfW bank, WWF Armenia's director Karen Manvelyan and Hayantar SNCO's director Areg Karapetyan signed an agreement of donation. According to this agreement 3 drones and 10 camera traps were donated to Hayantar SNCO by WWF Armenia for monitoring of biodiversity and forest ecosystems in Protected and Forest Areas of the organization.
Next day, on July 12, within the frames of “The Year of Caucasian Leopard” in Armenia, WWF Armenia's director Karen Manvelyan signed one more agreement of donation, but this time with the Khosrov Forest State Reserve’s director Hrach Hovakimyan. According to this agreement WWF’s TJS project, financed by BMZ through KfW, donated 2 ranger houses to the protected area. Leopard Conservation Project, financed by WWF International and WWF Germany, donated a drone and 4 grass-cutter machines to the protected area. The drone will be used for patrolling and monitoring in the reserve's area, and the grass-cutter machines will be used for grass-cutting along the roads of the reserve for the fire safety purposes.
