This is tragic news, I had met Dr Maskey and Narayan Poudel several times, most recently in 2004. To lose so many committed conservationists in such tragic circumstances is a cruel blow. I offer my condolences to all those at WWF, DNPWC and others, and to the families and friends of those lost in this terrible accident. Their legacy will live on in the stunning landscape of Kanchenjunga.
