"I have been a continuing supporter of WWF and WWF-Canada for many years, upholding my dad's legacy to help protect our precious wildlife. While this sudden tragedy in Nepal must be devastating to family, friends and colleagues of the deceased, it also reminds us of the frailty of being human, not unlike that of endangered species or unprotected wildlife.

To those that tragically lost a loved one on Sept 23rd, please take comfort knowing they made incredible and significant contributions to preserving one of the Earth's most beautiful environments. They accomplished what they had set out to do - and for that, they are to be applauded -in death as in life. Blessings to you all."
K. Flajs, Toronto, Canada

If Gen. Douglas Macarthur was alive today, he would say that Chandra Gurung, Mingma Norbu Sherpa, Harka Gurung, Yeshi Lama, Jill Bowling Schlaepfer, Jennifer Headley and Matthew Preecem did not die, they just faded away. It was only their physical bodies that were lost, not their good name and great deeds. Their death will inspire more people to work for the conservation and protection of God's beautiful creations.
