"My most sincere condolences to all the families, definitely God takes away the good people sooner than we would wish for. They helped this world and would be long be remembered for that. I worked with Chandra and Mingma for several years in the Annapurna region. I knew them (and Dr. Maskey) well. Chandra was like a brother to me, and they were all mentors. Through the veil of tears I take solace in the hundreds of young Nepalis they inspired and empowered to work in conservation and sustainable development. Even though the presence and leadership of these great men will leave an enormous gap, I have faith in their living legacy of all the wonderful young people that will take their place. Maya na marnu hola (Don't let love die..)

My deepest sympathy to all the family members, friends, co-workers and the people of Nepal who've all lost such wonderful people. Indeed, all of the world has lost these tireless workers for conservation and compassion between wildlife and people. The saving grace is that they died doing what they loved and had just come from a significant event of handing over conservation responsibilities to local people in a region of Nepal. Let us all never forget them by continuing the work they undertook. God bless them, and all who mourn them. And thanks be to God that they dedicated their lives to help protect our living planet.

I was part of Kanchanjenga Conseration Area Tourism Planning team and visited the area including Ghunsa in 2000. As I worked for the ministry, DNPWC, and WWF, I personally know 7 out of 24 people who got killed in the tragic accident. My thoughts are with all the families and friends at this difficult time."

I would like to mourn for those who died in this incident. I feel really sad because personally I am a nature lover and thats why I am studying Environmental Science as my major at undergraduation. It is a great loss for all nature lovers and environmentalists. Recently we lost another great environmentalist in Steve Irwin. At last I hope they will be in peace in their after life.
