Carpathian sustainable tourism strategy discussed at the international travel trade forum in Berlin
Michael Meyer of E.T.E. introduced the current draft of the Carpathian Sustainable Tourism Strategy and emphasized the need of building a common image for the Carpathians to be able to compete with other destinations worldwide. The implementation of the strategy comprises topics like branding and marketing, strengthening sustainable tourism destinations, enhancing quality and security of tourism services.
Dawid Lasek from the Association of Carpathian Euroregion Poland talked about a first draft of a Carpathian branding logo which has been developed under a Swiss Cohesion project in Poland, pointing out the natural and cultural values like pristine nature, multiculturalism and unconditional hospitality. He presented the possibility of the establishment of a tourism coordination centre for the entire Carpathians in Rzeszów, Poland.
