Noting inaccuracies in the reporting and publicity around WWF's OECD complaint, today the UK National Contact Point (NCP) for the OECD guidelines issued a note of clarification on the process to all parties. WWF welcomes this note and remains committed to this process.

We look forward to entering the mediation phase with Soco. It is our sincere hope that mediation will achieve a clear outcome that allows Africa’s first national park to remain free of threats to the outstanding universal value that has earned Virunga its UNESCO World Heritage status.

The NCP's note can be found on this web page.
