Earth Hour has led to the public recognition of climate change in Bolivia
These recognitions were identified through a national public call made by Reporte Energía to all their readers, friends and others, having registered a broad participation. At the same time, the journalistic team of this magazine and collaborators from Cidea (Energy and Environmental Research Center –the research and academic counterpart of Reporte Energía) made their own analysis and applications under more journalistic and objective parameters. After that, information from both sides was combined and the nominees for each category were defined. According to the number of votes, the winners were chosen.
“This selection through a public call is officially being promoted by this magazine since 2009, aiming at highlighting the work and accomplishments of institutions, companies, professionals or projects towards the wellbeing of the country during one year, not only from a journalistic point of view, but from the final reader”, stated Ms. Lauren Montenegro, Commercial Manager of Reporte Energía.
It is worth mentioning that this magazine has been actively supporting WWF’s global Earth Hour campaign, and will keep on doing so through permanent coverage of related issues.
