Dubai, UAE – November 14, 2013: Festive Season is just around the corner and if you are worried about what to get as a special gift – worry no more. Emirates Wildlife Society in association with WWF (EWS-WWF) is urging UAE residents to purchase a symbolic turtle adoption pack in support of its work in marine conservation.

The adoption pack includes a cuddly toy turtle, adoption certificate*, sticker, turtle facts and a brochure about the organisation’s three-year Marine Turtle Conservation Project which is satellite tracking 75 Hawksbill turtles across the region. All proceeds from the pack go towards EWS-WWF’s Marine Turtle Conservation Project.

Despite existing for more than 200 million years, marine turtles are now highly endangered. According to the IUCN, globally six out of the seven species of marine turtles are critically endangered, including Hawksbill turtles which are native to the region.

Be part of EWS-WWF’s conservation efforts in the Gulf by adopting a toy turtle today. For a limited period between November 15 – December 31 2013, the turtle adoption packs will be priced at AED150 and can be purchased online from the following stockists:
