WWF and TRAFFIC were represented by Isaac Malugu and Allen Mgaza at the event and together provided some materials for the WWF-TRAFFIC booth including reports, posters, CD’s and, also the timber tracking device for the data management pilot project which was implemented by Tanzania Forestry Services Agency (TFS) and TRAFFIC.

Allen Mgaza of TRAFFIC presented to the participants the key activities which TRAFFIC implemented under MMC and the contribution of these activities into WWF-TRAFFIC regional timber work, such as the annually organized Timber trade stakeholder’s fora and Zanzibar declaration on the illegal timber trade which was signed by five countries in the region at the World Forestry Congress in Durban South Africa. The presentation clearly demonstrated the importance of partnership into achieving greater impacts.
