WWF-Laos is looking for qualified Lao National for the position of Senior Liaison Officer based in Vientiane, Laos. 
 
Position: Senior Liaison Officer (Offer to Lao National Applicants only)
 
Location base: Vientiane Capital
 
WWF-Laos: The WWF-Laos office was officially registered with the Government of Laos in 2001. The office works to promote conservation and sustainable natural resource use in order to contribute to the national poverty reduction plan through improved livelihoods and protection of healthy environments.
 
WWF-Laos overviews the importance of natural resource diversity which ensures food security of livelihood, society and healthy environment
 
Scope of Work: The Senior Liaison Officer is responsible for initiating and leading specific activities in supporting the policy work mainly at the national level.  She/he will play a strong role in coordination with government counterparts to support project implementation
 
Key Requirement:
  • Master’s degree in development studies or in relevant fields
  • 2-5 years of practical experience in policy/liaison work
  • Thorough understanding of laws and regulations, and policy/institutional context related to conservation and natural resource management in Laos
  • Proven experience of working with, and engaging in dialogue with Government officials at all levels
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
