WWF & FPWC join their efforts for conservation of endangered species in Armenia

On November 15 the World Wide Fund for Nature Armenian Branch (WWF Armenia) and the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding during the press conference held in Yerevan Zoo.

During the conference both organizations presented their future cooperation initiatives related to the conservation and the sustainable use of biological resources in Armenia. The initiatives particularly include the conservation of endangered species in Armenia with special focus on Caucasian leopard, Armenian mouflon, bezoar goat and brown bear, development of ecological corridors, environmental education and organization of environmental events.

Additionally, in the same day WWF Armenia became a partner of FPWC’s wildlife breeding program implemented in Yerevan Zoo.
