WWF International

In spite of the continuing global economic challenges, income grew by 1%. The uncertain economic climate led to a 3% decrease in expenditure.

WWF Network

The total WWF Network income grew significantly, rising EUR 81 million to EUR 525 million - an increase of more than 18%. This was largely driven by an increase in investment income.

Revenue from individuals grew by 12% and the increase in income from corporations was 8%. These increases were partially offset by decreased income from governments and aid agencies (down 8%) and trusts and foundations (down 10%).

The Network’s conservation activities continued to grow during the year albeit at a slower rate than income. The resulting surplus of EUR 31 million will be used to fund our ongoing projects and programmes and help us reach our conservation targets.
