Project achievements
- Since 2008, approximately 800 hectares of forest have been placed under sustainable management in Laos.
- Almost 8,000 hectares of forests inventories have been carried out and will soon be under sustainable management and harvesting in the Greater Mekong region.
- More than 60 households have gained increased economic benefits from rattan in Laos and Cambodia.
- Nearly 50 rattan processing small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) are already engaged with WWF to promote improved production methods and more sustainable management and harvesting.
