WWF-HSBC partnership in HoB

WWF and HSBC work together on Liwagu Project in Sabah, Malaysia, that was launched in early 2010. This three-year project (due for completion in December 2012), called “Building Resilience of Freshwater Resources" aims to safeguard the resilience of water catchments in the Crocker Ranges area within the HoB.

The catchments in these areas deliver freshwater resources which make a critical contribution towards the economic growth of local communities and the protection of regional biodiversity.

As an innovative pilot project within the HoB, the HSBC support will assist the HoB to develop stronger, more relevant solutions to conserving freshwater catchments in the HoB.

For the past 9 years WWF and HSBC have been partners together on variety innovative programs to safeguard the natural world, to the benefit of both people and nature. Together they've tackled the impact of climate change in countries across Asia, including contributions towards essential programs in the HoB in Malaysia.
