A new video produced by the United States Geological Survey highlights the challenges changing walruses as a result of climate change. In recent years, ice loss along the Alaskan and Russian coasts has forced thousands of walruses ashore, resulting in deaths as the walruses sometimes stampede and trample each other. This video shows the work of researchers to understand how the changing climate, and advancing industrial development, may affect the walruses and the people who live with them.
