WWF calls on cruise industry and authorities to reduce risks on Svalbard A recent WWF report looks at the environmental impacts associated with cruise tourism in one of the Arctic's most popular destinations, the archipelago of Svalbard. A popular and exciting way of experiencing arctic nature, cruises can pose unacceptable risks to the very environment they come to see, the biggest one being oil pollution.
