The Ticino River as an ecological bridge for Europe

The river, shared by Italy and Switzerland, connects the Alps with the Appenines, via the Po River catchment area. It is a veritable biodiversity highway linking Europe and Africa. A convention in Milan seeks to establish integrated and sustainable ways to manage it.
